Ameland Mustard - Tourist information

Ameland mustard

On the Ameland pastures where seagulls fly overhead screeching, the mustard seeds have been sowed and grown for decades. A large team of volunteers harvests these seeds after which the mill in Hollum crushes them into our well-known mustard.

This delicious mustard in the characteristic hexagonal containers may therefore legitimately be called a true Ameland mustard. This mustard is prepared on the island and is available in no less than 13 different flavours. This particularly tasty local product serves as a great condiment for many dishes.
