
Corn- and mustard mill De Verwachting
Rack mill 'De Verwachting' is on the place where the old corn mill 'De Verwachting' used to be from 1840 til 1949. The rack mill was rebuilt in 1988.
In this more than 100 year old mill flour is grinded and mustard is made on fixed data and times. The millers and the mustard makers give extensive explanation and as a visitor you are welcome to attend these demonstrations.
The mill also has a mill shop. You can buy all kinds of crafty made mill products here. You can find here flour and wheat flour, different kinds of pancake mixes, 'boffert' mix and fourteen different kinds of Ameland mustard.
The Ameland mustard made in mill 'de Verwachting', is part of the 'Ameland Produkt".
