Walking events
Nature can be both beautiful and harsh here, and combined with the atmospheric start and finish locations in one of the picturesque villages, this makes the island Ameland very suitable for walking events.
Each year, a number of fun walking events are organized on Ameland. A few examples:
- Tussen Slik en Zand (walking event with 3 distances: 11, 18 and 25 km)
- Rondje Ameland (a walking event around the island, approx. 50 km)
