You will be transported along the beach by comfortable beach bus, which is also accessible for wheel chair users, to nature reserve "De Hôn". Along the way you will be informed about the beach, beach nourishment, reed screens, beach poles and so on. A first stop will be made on the vegetated mudflat. Twenty years ago, this area used to be an empty sandy surface with primary dunes, but after the construction of a drift dike it has become overgrown. The vegetated mudflat is crossed by tidal channels coming from the Wadden Sea. During a short walk the driver tells you about this unique area. Then we move along to the most eastern spot on the island, where you can search for sea shells or just look around.
You can have a look in the online activity calendar to see if the activity takes place during your stay on the island.
You can also visit the VVV Tourist Information Office in Hollum or Nes for a free program of all the activities and for buying tickets.
It is not possible to book tickets by phone or online by the VVV Tourist Information Centre.
