Tour Film Set Penny's Shadow - VVV Ameland

Visit the film set

In 2010, the Dutch youth film Penny’s Shadow was filmed on Ameland. The film is directed by Steven de Jong and tells the story of Lisa and Kai, played by Liza Sips and Levi van Kempen.

The film recordings took place in the dunes of Hollum, near the lighthouse.
After the recordings, the film set remained at the original location for another one and a half years. Later, it was dismantled and rebuilt at the holiday farm De Lange Dunen in Ballum. A special place, because Shadow – the horse from the film – stayed here during the recordings. The lead actors also took their riding lessons here.
