Brandspuithuuske
Around 1913 in all four villages of Ameland small fire hose houses appeared. These small houses served as a depot for fire hoses.
The 'brandspuithuuske' (little fire hose house) in Nes has been preserved all these years. It is now a monument and fully restored and decorated authentically. The house is freely accessible.
