Sail to Terschelling with sailing clipper the Willem Jacob. The Willem Jacob is over 100 years old and offers you the unique opportunity to discover the Wadden Sea in an adventurous way and sail to the neighbouring island. On board you can help the skipper and mate with the sailing. During this trip the ship will run aground. When running aground, the ship sails above a sandbank at high tide. Because the water drops, the ship ends up on the sandy bottom of the Wadden Sea. You can then disembark and walk across the seabed.
Make sure you are back on board when the tide rises. The ship comes loose again because of the tide and we sail on. After a few hours we continue our sailing trip. How long it takes to run aground depends on where we are on the sandbank. The cook will provide a delicious dinner during this trip. You can book a lunch for € 18. Lunch includes bread and various toppings, milk/buttermilk and fruit, and always some extras, such as soup, omelette or salad.

Please be on time because the tide won't wait for you. Plan to be there 15 minuntes in advance. You are welcome on board and join us for a nice cup of coffee. The Willem Jacob is not located directly on the quay. To get to the clipper, you'll have to pass through other boats. Dinner is included.
