Mudflat excursion
During the excursion you will learn about the origins of and threats to the Wadden area, its management, but most of all its enormous natural value.
By digging out some soil you will discover the abundance and variety of soil dwelling creatures. For example, you will discover a tiny flatfish or a crab left behind in a hole, and with binoculars you will see foraging birds of all kinds. It will become especially clear that all these organisms are dependent on each other and together make a natural system with the seal at the top.
