Golden Quality Coast Award for Ameland!
Again, Ameland is the only Wadden Island which has earned the Golden Quality Coast Award for the 2023!
The international jury especially praised Ameland for its ambition to become a sustainable, self-sufficient island by 2020, its strong local identity and culture which is expressed in the many events and festivals, as well as its excellent communication towards (international) guests.
The Town of Ameland wishes to be leader in the area of energy transition and green economy and pursues the highest possible quality in human and nature friendly tourism. With its participation in the Quality Coast Award process, Ameland is judged on sustainability levels.
