From October 16th to 20th, 2024, there will be a special Expedition Ameland event with the theme 'A sky full of stories
Shonaleigh Cumbers and Simon Heywood from Great Britain cast their gaze to the heavens. Alternating between serious and light-hearted, they explore some of the celestial myths from ancient cultures and civilizations, considering how they might offer inspiration for today. The course is combined with a visit to the Eisinga Planetarium in Franeker, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the oldest working planetarium in the world.

On October 19, 2024, Shonaleigh & Simon will be telling stories at De Plaats in Hollum. This is an open evening filled with tales.
