What do the Corona measures mean for Ameland? The following information is valid as of December 1, 2020.

The buses on Ameland run according to the timetable. Wearing a non-medical face mask is mandatory for people aged 13 years and older.
Every car driver may bring one person from another household. This maximum does not apply if you are in the car with family members from your own household. Wear a face mask if you are in the car with people from another household. Are you in the car with people from the same household? Then a face mask is not necessary.
VVV reservations and information

The VVV Tourist office in Nes and Hollum, the libraries and the ING service point in Nes are open. Measures are taken to ensure the 1.5 meter distance regulation can be met and a door policy is in place.
Shops, supermarkets, and vacation parks take measures to ensure keeping 1.5 meter distance is possible. In shops for example by means of a door policy. In supermarkets, shopping with a trolley is mandatory, and it is expected that customers shop alone.
Wearing a face mask is mandatory in public buildings, in shops, etc. This applies to everyone from the age of 13.
GPs do not have regular consulting hours. Please call them if you have any health concerns.

On Ameland there is also the possibility to have yourself tested for the Corona virus by means of a Corona rapid test.
Fore the most up-to-date information and national guidelines, please visit the website of the Municipality Ameland or the website of the National Government. In public, you need to keep a minimum distance of 1,5 meter to others. If not, you could risk a fine.
